Frequently Asked Questions

Technical Support FAQ

How do I choose internal, band-mounted or external TPMS sensors?

Use internal valve sensors for tubeless tires, band-mounted internal sensors when valve mounting is unsuitable, and external sensors for tube tires or installations that prioritize easier access. Final selection depends on wheel design, pressure range and maintenance requirements.

What vehicle and wheel information is needed before selection?

Share the vehicle type, tractor and trailer wheel count, tire pressure range, sensor preference, target market and whether the project needs a display, Bluetooth App, CAN Bus, RS232 or RS485 output.

When is a TPMS repeater recommended?

A repeater is recommended when the distance between sensors and the receiver is long, the vehicle has many wheels, or the trailer is changed frequently. The installation position should be confirmed during sample testing.

How do I choose CAN Bus, RS232 or RS485 output?

Choose CAN Bus or J1939 when TPMS data must integrate with a vehicle network. Use RS232 or RS485 when connecting to a GPS tracker, gateway, controller or fleet platform. Arvov provides applicable communication protocols for engineering evaluation.

How are TPMS sensors paired with the display or receiver?

Depending on the product, sensors can be paired by entering the sensor ID, scanning a QR code in the TireKing App, or using the TH01 activation tool. The exact procedure is provided with the selected system.

What should I prepare for sample testing and protocol integration?

Provide the vehicle and wheel configuration, target pressure range, required data fields, communication interface, regional frequency or Bluetooth requirements and test objectives. Arvov can then recommend a sample configuration and integration documents.

Can I download Arvov manuals and communication protocols?

Yes. Public CAN Bus, RS232, RS485, truck Bluetooth and car Bluetooth TPMS communication protocols can be downloaded from the Technical Documents section. Product manuals are published by model when available or can be requested from the Arvov support team.

Does Arvov provide support for CarPlay and dash cam products?

Yes. Arvov provides product selection, installation, connection and OEM/ODM project support for CarPlay displays and dual-channel, three-channel and four-channel dash cam solutions.
